Since inDesign is what'll be using 90% of the time, it's where we began. Again, a little surpising that we're being taught how to launch applications, but better safe then sorry.
Ran through a couple of inDesign exercises. Focus here was on repitition rather than creativity, trying to get us all accustomed to keyboard shorcuts, menus, etc. Seems to be working quite well with my fingers gravitating toward the keyboard rather than the mouse when I went to access something.
The examples above were delivered in a step-by-step manner by Orla, one of the lecturers from my neck of the woods - always reassuring to hear a Norn Iron accent. The task was to recreate a vector image based on a misplaced raster from a client. (May aswell start using the terminology).
